More than four decades devoted to virtual aviation.
Giovanni Rugolo has been passionate about flight simulation since 1982. A software developer, web designer and systems administrator, he has combined aviation culture and technology throughout a long journey dedicated to the virtual aviation community.
Air Sicilia Virtual
In 2016, Giovanni founded and created Air Sicilia Virtual. Today it is one of the longest-running and most structured virtual airlines in its field. Over the years, more than 5,000 pilots have flown with the company, helping it become an established and respected presence within the virtual aviation community.
His operational experience is supported by a PP pilot rating on both IVAO and VATSIM, two of the leading global online flight simulation networks.
The launch of SimPilot World
Today, Giovanni launches SimPilot World: a persistent economy built for virtual pilots and an ecosystem designed to represent the world of real aviation from every angle. Its purpose is to give each virtual pilot the excitement of a complete, lasting career by combining accessible gameplay with deep simulation.
Licences, certifications, airline contracts, aircraft ownership and leasing, fleet operations and trading in airlines, airports and fuel providers are only some of the systems that shape the pilot’s journey from the very first flight.
A world for pilots and Virtual Airlines
SimPilot World also welcomes established Virtual Airlines. They can bring their operations into the ecosystem, manage costs and revenues, recruit pilots, develop fleets and compete in a shared economy influenced by real pilot activity.
At the heart of the platform is a proprietary SimPilot ACARS, continuously evolving to provide increasingly accurate flight tracking, telemetry, operational scoring and career records.
